Many artists participate in the creation of miniature works of art known as Artist Trading Cards (ATCs), also known as ”Art Cards, Editions and Originals” (ACEOs). The only qualifying rule being that they must conform to the size of a modern baseball card (2½ x 3½ inches).
Art cards are a great way to own and swap original artwork. They allow collectors to build up art collections without significant storage problems or breaking the bank! Most importantly, they are a lot of fun to collect.
I’ve wanted to make up some cards for a while now, but only finally got my act together last week, creating four of them. My first attempt includes a mermaid, a nurse, a Hawaiian girl and a girl in portrait (some of which I plan to reproduce in my forthcoming art collection).
So, if you are interested in owning a piece of original artwork, click the links above to visit eBay. Each one was hand drawn by me (hi, James Spence, pleased to meet you!) on 250gsm Bristol Board using water/fade proof ink. They are black and white and signed and dated on the reverse side.

As December approaches I thought it was high time I provided an update on Girls in Space and where I’m at right now.
At the time of writing I have four Toys R Us toy reviews to finish (see jamesspence.net) before resuming Girls in Space. My hope is that it will return on 19th of December.
I am going to pick up where I left the Hell Creek story. Initially, posting weekly but in the hope that I’ll return to twice a week for future stories. The Scrapbook pages will remain on the site, but I will convert them to appear as blog posts rather than comic pages to allow me to keep all the brilliant comments I received during the hiatus but also to avoid confusion for future archive trawlers.
I am also planning on introducing a ’Dollar Download‘ section which will include additional and enhanced material, such as PDFs of high resolution versions of each story and new pin-up collections featuring my girly art (the first volume of which is nearly complete at the time of writing).
Of course, the normal weekly Girls in Space updates and archives will remain free to read online. You will not be asked to download material in order to enjoy the story. The Dollar Download section is simply intended as a way to cover the costs of hosting and promoting the site.
Once again, I thank you for sticking around through the hiatus. I can’t wait to bring the spacegirls back to life and share their saucy, silly, sci-fi adventures with you.
