Hell Creek (Page 17)

Happy New Year, friends.  I hope 2012 is a year of dream fulfilment for each and every one of you (unless of course you have scary dreams about being chased by rabid parakeets, I wouldn’t wish that on anyone).

January the First was the second anniversary of Girls in Space.  Can you believe it has already been two years?  That’s right, folks - it has been two memorable years of consistent* weekly** dramatic*** antics?

So I’d like to thank you all for reading.  I hope you continue to do so and I would encourage you to tell your friends, family, acquintances, strangers and even enemies about it!  Thank you!

*What hiatus?
**What do you mean ‘it used to be twice weekly’?
***What do you mean ‘it appears to be written by an underwear-obsessed buffoon’?

Congratulations on 2 years GIS anniversary James. I see the hiatus hasn’t changed the grumpy arrogant rude obnoxious Doctors attitude. I am guessing a Kombi hubcap???

    • Spencey

I expect even a blow to the head wouldn’t change his attitude! :)

  2. Stonefoot

Dinosaurs played Frisbee! Who knew? rotfl

  3. Binky

I wonder what the sphere could be?

    Congratulations on your second anniversary!

  4. Vince

    Gah, not the PARAKEETS!!! ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGHHH!

  5. Daniel Elliott

It may be good to distance yourself from this guy. His dino-frisbee theory sounds a little far fetched lol

  6. Vince

I just noticed, did Dr Delgado shave his mustache?

    • Agata

      I wondered that too.

      • Spencey

Well spotted. I really should open my eyes when I draw! :)

    • Spencey

Oh. My. Hahaha! Oops – continuity error! Where did that ‘tash go? Hahaha – I guess I could try and fix it, or maybe I should write an explanation into the script. I can’t believe I missed that.

  7. Mark Stokes

First off, sincere congratulations on your 2 Year Anniversary! Love the style, characters, and color of this strip, but one thing that really strikes me above all is your wonderful storytelling skill. In my opinion, dialogue is the most important, and most difficult part of telling a story, and you accomplish it swimmingly. Another year of GIS? Bring it on!

    • Spencey

Thanks Mark – I really appreciate that. I’ve learned a lot doing Girls in Space, both in terms of drawing and writing. I feel as though I am continuing to learn with every story. The dialogue is particularly good fun to write (especially when there’s a sarcastic Scottish hot-head in the mix!) Thanks so much for reading.

  8. MC/Curtis

Dr. Delgado needs to get his comeuppance! Quite the villain indeed.
As Seen On TV Presents: The Frisbee Plate! Microwave safe fun for the whole family! Double use at the picnic! Catch Timmy! “Ew! Potato salad!”

  9. Gary

Fancy software! I want one that does that!
