The Prototype (Page 13)

I tried to do something a bit more interesting with the layout on this page, but I’m in two minds about whether it has worked or not.  It looks a little crowded.  Hmm…  Meh.

I don’t think it’s too crowded – in fact, there’s a nice flow to the panels here.

Thanks. It just felt like I was cramming a lot in there! I guess I’m just used to making smaller strips / comics!

I think the layout’s great, if you don’t experiment, you don’t learn. My only critique would be that the purple hand kind of disappears into the purple background in the last panel, but I thought the page as a whole looked excellent.

Good point and I now can see that you’re right! I almost made the hand gold instead of purple. Wish I had now! Oh well!

I think your showing a widening range of talent with your artwork Spencey! From Dr. Sheep, to the Cat Comic, to this one, you’re ability to adapt to changing things up really shows an ability to be fluid!

I think you’re onto something good with this one!!

Thanks Jynksie! I do like to mix things up from time to time to keep myself interested!

uh oh! The plot thickens :)
