The Prototype (Page 06)

As shown in Monday’s strip, the shuttle has been forced to make an emergency landing on Earth and the girls picked Scotland as their landing point.  Therefore, I decided to add a couple of Scotland’s most famous landmarks into this story.  I can see the bridge in panel 1 from my house - the Forth Bridge connects Fife to Edinburgh by rail, crossing the Firth of Forth.

As regular readers may be aware, last week I switched on my computer and it failed to boot up. No matter what I did I couldn’t get it up and running and I took it to a specialist. It turned out the Hard Disk had died.   I have now got the computer back from repair, which is great news.  However not without some sacfiice - every single hi-res version of my comic “The Cat Comic” (which I had never backed up) are lost.  There are now only the lo-res web versions.  Also two pages of Girls in Space were lost, and will have to be recreated.  And the worst part?  There’s nobody to blam but myself!

So, if you work with data, be smarter than me and take a backup of your work. Better yet, set up a system of automatic back-ups (which I now have) and save yourself a lot of heartache.

Yeah, best not to admit to that :D

hehe…woops. I thought that was the golden gate bridge at first.

I can see the similarity. The Forth Bridge is a bit like looking at a Golden Gate Bridge-shaped lightbulb, then suddenly looking away!

Hahaha, are they in denial? haha. I would not admit either when I see a flying unidentified object :)
